Position Title: Licensed Practical Nurse - $1000 Sign on Bonus - Coffee County Sheriff's Office Location: Douglas, GA Salary Range: $25.00 - $25.00 Hourly We are currently seeking a Full Time Licensed Practical Nurse and PRN Licensed Practical Nurses to join our team at Coffee County Jail located in Douglas, Georgia. About this position: The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing care for and treating detainees in a correctional setting. Correctional nurses administer both routine and emergency medical care and treat acute and chronic illnesses and injuries. EducationRequires graduation from a nationally accredited licensed practical nursing program.CertificationsCurrent LPN licensure in the state of employment or ability to obtain licenseCurrent Basic Life Support Job Type: Full-TimeCorrectional nursing experience preferred but not requiredAbility to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check Available shift:6A-6P - Day Shift3P-11P - Mid Shift6P-6A - Night ShiftPRN Availability General Duties: (not limited to but includes)Provide patient treatments such as blood pressure checks, glucose monitoring, weight checks, nebulizer treatments, etc. as ordered by a licensed medical provider.Ensure all referrals for consultation, treatment or resolution of problems are valid and applicable to the documented nursing plans.Administer ordered medications to inmates as ordered by a licensed medical provider and approved by the medical director and document administration as required by GENESYS Health policy/procedureCarries out nursing care plans on inmates as prescribed or directed by ALP, Physician, and/or RNEnsure security of area and medications while administration is occurring; as well as keeping safety top priority.Complete initial and ongoing screening on detained individuals upon admission into a correctional settingExplain procedures and treatment protocols to patients We offer competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits for our full-time team members including: Health, Dental and Vision insurance plan optionsSupplemental plans- Life, Cancer, Accident and Short Term disability plans 401(k) matching (after 1 year)Paid holidaysPTO- vacation, sick and bereavement Supplemental pay types:Overtime $1000 Sign on BonusShift Differential Physical setting:Corrections (Jail / Prison / Detention Center)GENESYS Health Alliance is an EOE/Minorities/Female/Vet/Disability Employer Compensation details: 25-25 Hourly WagePI195b2c8c0f66-25660-35878943
