We are seeking a motivated insurance agent with an entrepreneurial spirit to identify and convert sales leads for insurance policies while overseeing a robust portfolio of clients. The successful candidate will have served in a related insurance industry role in which he or she cultivated a pool of prospective clients through referrals, networking, cold calls, marketing initiatives, and other proactive sales strategies. Responsibilities: • Develop and deliver risk management strategies for each customer based on their risk profile• Implement sales strategies and tactics proven effective in maintaining and growing existing customer portfolios comprised of loyal, long-term clients• Remain updated on insurance industry changes and protocols to fulfill all policy requirements and monitor insurance claims from start to finish• Update bookkeeping systems, customer records, and sales databases to report your monthly and/or quarterly progress to goals to stakeholders• Set meetings with new and potential clients to listen to their needs, taking into account their financial statuses and stage-of-life priorities, and present insurance plan options tailored to their individual circumstances Qualifications: • Proficiency with accounting or sales-related software is helpful• Candidates should have basic computer skills and be able to use Microsoft Office programs• Working knowledge of the insurance industry, insurance products risk management profiles, and related state and federal regulations• Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, customer service skills, and analytical skills are required• High school diploma mandatory; four-year undergraduate degree strongly preferred• Fluency in Spanish, Vietnamese, and/or Chinese is preferred but not required Compensation: $120,000 at plan About Company: As a mutual company, with no investors or outside owners, New York Life is uniquely aligned with our client's interests and priorities.
