$65,000.00-$85,000.00/year DOE + benefitsSummary: Responsible for providing therapeutic and case management services to adult male sex offenders in a residential facility by performing the following duties. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Provides cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic therapies grounded in attachment theory, with a particular focus on the Good Lives Model and RNR as a framework for growth.* Effectively manages a caseload of 7 high risk, level 2&3 sex offenders. * Provides individual therapy to residents weekly. * Leads sex-specific treatment groups daily. * Facilitate psychoeducational groups weekly. * Facilitates family/couples therapy when appropriate. * Conducts 30-day assessments on new residents entering the facility. * Quarterly, meets with probation officers/supervising agents, and clients support people to review client's treatment progress. * Conducts risk assessments. * Implements and monitors client treatment plans. * Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing. * Writes quarterly client progress updates. * Refers and coordinates services for psychiatric services, consults with medical professionals concerning the physical well-being of clients. * Prepares comprehensive reports and submits written recommendations to the court and provides detailed testimony, as needed. * Works effectively with a team of clinical and administrative staff. * Maintains knowledge of standards, policies, laws, and rules relating to the delivery of psychological services. * Recognizes and respects cultural differences and provides culturally appropriate services. * Completes 18 continuing education unit's annually in sex-specific treatment.* Meets weekly with Clinical Director at least 4 hours per month.* Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general public. Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, training will be provided on Steps For Change’s electronic health records system. Education/Experience: Master's degree (M.A. / M.S.) or higher; and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Specialized Training: Must have proficiency in the following areas: 2,000 hours of supervised experience in the provision of individual and group psychotherapy to individuals in one of the following settings: corrections, chemical dependency, mental health, developmental disabilities, social work, or victim services. 2,000 hours of supervised experience in the provision of direct therapy services to sex offenders. sex offender assessment; and case management, including treatment planning, general knowledge of social services and appropriate referrals, and record keeping, mandatory reporting requirements, and confidentiality rules and regulations that apply to adult sex offender clients. M ust have training in the following areas or subjects within the first year of employment: 30 hours in child, adolescent, or adult development. 16 hours in the treatment of cognitive distortions, thinking errors, and criminal thinking. 16 hours in behavioral therapies for sex offenders. 16 hours in relapse prevention. 16 hours in human sexuality. 16 hours in family systems. 12 hours in crisis intervention. 12 hours in the policies and procedures of the Minnesota criminal justice system. 12 hours in substance abuse treatment. Complete 18 continuing education credits annually in topics related to sexual-offense-specific treatment. Complete Dialectical Behavior Therapy training Complete cultural diversity, sexual harassment, and HIPPA training, annually Certificates and Licenses: Must have one or more of the following licenses, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Psychologist.
