Legal Secretary Job
SNI has partnered with a busy vibrant Law Firm that has an immediate opening for a full-time Legal Administrative Assistant supporting our Litigation practice. Successful candidates should have background in both state and federal courts and be a self-starter with excellent organizational and document management capabilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: *Transcribing, drafting, updating and finalizing pleadings for federal and state court filings *Proofreading of all work, which includes reading documents for content and context *Preparing and maintaining client and office files *Preparing patent, trademark and copyright reporting letters *Coordinating lawyers' calendar and docket Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: *Knowledge of court and law office litigation rules and procedures *Exceptional secretarial skills including typing, proof reading, spelling and grammar, and Ms word,microsoft excel,data entry knowledge is required. *Expertise to organize and prioritize workload and use own judgment in decision making on how to adequately and efficiently meet all deadlines *Expertise to take initiative when handling projects and anticipating what needs to be done *Must display a professional manner with clients, lawyers, paralegals and other staff members The Firm is an equal opportunity employer.
