Position: Legal Assistant Insurance Coverage Location: Bloomfield Hills, MI Plunkett Cooney is seeking a full-time legal assistant in our Bloomfield Hills office location. This experienced legal assistant will provide support to two attorney's within our Insurance Coverage Practice Group.To be considered, you must have: A strong litigation background with three to five years of experience Experience in E-filing, including outside states and ability to become familiar with local court rules Maintain heavy billing workload Review all prebills for each attorney and include disbursements. Maintain attorney email inbox and distribute emails to according to client matters, and bill accordingly Run conflict checks, submit new matter forms, and include all necessary attorneys on incoming client documents Schedule conference calls and travel arrangements Prepare expense reports Be proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook Have strong attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, strong problem-solving skills, produce high quality documents with short deadlines. Be proficient managing busy calendars between multiple attorneys Be proactive in cases with ability to produce high quality documents with short deadlines Experience with electronic court filing and electronic docketing software The firm is looking for someone who is dependable, flexible, and wants to learn and grow with the firm.Plunkett Cooney offers a flexible remote work option after a 90-day review on performance and training, however, this position will be required to report to the Bloomfield Hills office to provide in-office support.
