We seek a dedicated individual who, while working under the direct supervision of the shift supervisor, will act as primary Clearance and Lockout Authority (CLA) for all Lock Out/Tag Out administration/clearance. The individual will also assist the shift supervisor with leading and managing a crew. Job responsibilities To be considered for this position, the individual must have a high-school diploma or general education degree(GED), a min of 2yrs' power plant control room operations background, or 3 yrs of power plant operations background and/or training in similar technologies. ASME QRO certification is desired; or must be able to obtain certification within 6 mnths of hire/promotion. For internal applicants, qualification training standards must be completed, at Control Room Operator level, and must display competency for both Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF) and Mass Burn Units. Other job responsibilities will include: - Conferring with technical and supervisory personnel to report or resolve conditions affecting safety, efficiency, or production. - Gathering info through observation; receiving turnovers and otherwise obtaining info from all relevant sources (i.e.; drawings, tags, line diagrams, and valve labels). - Examining documents to verify adherence to qualifications. - Creating and/or verifying Job Safety Analysis and Standard Operating Procedures for use and accuracy. - Monitoring instruments to ensure proper production conditions. - Stepping up to cover the Shift Supervisor position, as needed. - Assisting with personnel training using the Operator Qualification Procedures.
