Responsibilities: • Provide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs and determining a proper course of action• Take responsibility for administrative staff relating to client invoicing/billing records, setting up meetings with clients and completing tasks• Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions• Manage administrative assistants, paralegals, and law clerks • Draft correspondence, legal pleadings, motions, and briefs Qualifications: • Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree with 2 years of related experience• Advanced computer skills working with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis) required • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is needed• Work independently while handling a heavy caseload• Prior experience working in a law firm for a minimum of 1-2 years required Compensation: $80,000 Base About Company: Godoy Law Office is a fast-growing immigration law firm where we help immigrants make America their home.
