Spada Law Group is a family-oriented personal injury firm actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced bilingual Personal Injury Case Manager with in-depth knowledge of the auto insurance industry to begin working in our new Lawrence, MA location! Our focus is and has been since 1998 on making it a fair fight for those who are often at a disadvantage in the legal process due to language barriers and /or cultural differences. We believe everyone deserves to be treated fairly, regardless of where they are from or their spoken language. As a Case Manager at Spada Law Group, you will assist our attorneys in all aspects of case management and client representation outlined but not limited to the responsibilities below. Responsibilities: • Conduct legal research to obtain documentation regarding health insurance, social security, medical records, and medical providers• Communication with clients, medical providers & insurance carriers professionally and effectively. (Spanish communication is a must for Spanish-speaking clients.)• Reviewing and analyzing medical records & bills, police reports, and other relevant documents• Manage appropriate timelines as dictated by settlement details and Statute of Limitations• Drafting demand letters and preparing demand packages• Preparing clients for EUOs, depositions, hearings, and trials in both English and Spanish, as needed• Negotiate healthcare liens and deal with subrogation matters• Negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters Qualifications: • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet presentation, and case management software• Effective organizational and communication skills, both written and oral, are needed• Legal research and legal document drafting experience is critical• High school diploma is required - 2-year degree and Paralegal certification are acceptable, but a Bachelor’s degree is preferred• Bilingual fluency in both English and Spanish (oral and written)• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• 5+ years as a paralegal, Case Manager, and/or an auto insurance adjuster• In-depth knowledge of an insurance claim from the time of the accident through settlement, the Mass Auto Policy, and medical coordination of benefits & liens• Understanding of local and state court rules and procedures Compensation: $50,000 - $70,000 yearly About Company: Spada Law Group is a personal injury firm in the heart of Chelsea, a predominantly Latino community.
