Travel Nurse Source is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Riverside, California, 92501 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Labor & Delivery Job Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night Shift (19:00-07:00) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience License: CA License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN EFM Must-Have: AWHONN Fetal Monitoring, ability to perform couplet care when floated Job Description: - Work in a unit with 11 labor beds, 4 OB evaluation beds, 2 OB PACU beds, and 2 operating rooms. - Be part of a night shift team comprising 1 Charge Nurse, 10 Staff Nurses, and 2 OB Technicians. - Maintain patient ratios of 1 RN to 2 patients, or 1 RN to 1 patient. - Use GE fetal monitoring equipment and electronic medical records system (CPN, Meditech). - Handle procedures such as non-stress tests, cervical exams, labor management, medication titration, and Mc Roberts maneuver. - Float to postpartum-couplet care area as needed. - Wear hospital-issued infant security scrubs. - Work on weekends and on-call shifts as needed to fill staffing needs. - Candidates with over two years of labor and delivery transition nursing and/or baby-catching experience are preferred. - Ideal candidates thrive in organized chaos and have a passion for working with a large volume of patients.
