Summary Conducts part measurements before, during, and after the manufacturing process to ensure that parts comply with quality standards. Measurement equipment used include CMM, Surface Tester, Contracer, Calipers, Micrometers, Microscope, and other measurement tools. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: View, handle, measure, and/or calibrate parts to ensure test and/or calibration measurements are performed as required. Collect data and record as required by the sampling standard, special request or drawing requirements. Perform Quality Control Patrol (QCP) Checks as required Understand / Follow work instructions Practice IATF16949, ISO14001, and ISO17025 requirements & Internal Procedures Practice department housekeeping 5S standards Work Safely Meet daily goals Participate in Continuous Improvement activities Ability to lift around 40 lbs. Authority to stop production to correct quality and safety problems Promptly inform those persons responsible for corrective action when products or processes do not conform to requirements to ensure that nonconforming product is not shipped to the customer and that all potential nonconforming product is identified and contained. Avoid any impartiality to persons receiving data when performing laboratory activities Ensure caution and discretion when using confidential information provided by the customer or created during the performance of laboratory activities. Mandatory overtime including Saturday and Sunday as scheduled Perform other duties as assigned by MTEA Management. LAB RELATED Perform internal and external Measurement and Calibration projects. Communicate results of test measurements and/or calibration measurements to your supervision via test reports and/or calibration reports. Provide input of any change in job activities to management so that Job Descriptions can be kept current. Assist in the planning of methods required for testing and calibration activities. Requirements: Working knowledge and experience with measuring equipment - CMM (TSK, Giddings and Lewis, Zeiss), Micrometer, Caliper, Linear Gage, and other similar common measuring equipment. Ability to perform measurement tests and/or calibrations of parts Ability to perform basic math functions, such as simple addition and subtraction to understand the specifications of the parts. Manufacturing experience preferred.
