Keys Adventure & Marine Eco Mates: Keys Adventure & Marine Eco mates lead both the Keys Adventure program and the Marine Eco Expedition Program. Mates are responsible for leading crews through a seven-day, six-night adventure, consisting of fishing, snorkeling, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, and sailing, as well as leading guided tours in Key West. Mates are also responsible for taking their crew to the primitive Big Munson island, in which Keys Adventure crews will spend the night. Ideal candidates should have experience in marine sciences or outdoor education. They serve as first mates aboard a 45-foot Corinthian and a 28-foot center console. Mates are responsible for mediating conflict, motivating participants, and developing crews' leadership skills. Mates will work in a group of two to five other mates and must be a team player.Keys Adventure & Stem mates must be 18 years of age and possess a valid US driver's license. They must have current first aid, CPR and AED certifications, and be able to pass a US Coast Guard drug test upon arrival. Candidates must be competent swimmers and comfortable leading crews in water-based activities. Mates must be hard-working, team players, and be comfortable working long hours doing physical activities.This application is for the Summer 2025 season.
