K-8th Grade School Social Worker Position Overview: We are looking for a compassionate School Social Worker to join our team and inspire positive change in the lives of K-8th grade students in Chicago, Illinois for this upcoming 2024-2025 school year. In this position, you will support a 30-student caseload and work with another SSW in the building. As part of our team, you’ll have access to abundant resources and clinical support to make a meaningful impact. School Start/End Date: August 5th, 2024 - June 13th, 2025 Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (with a 30-minute lunch break) Caseload: You’ll work alongside another Social Worker, with a typical caseload of around 30 students with IEPs (no self-contained rooms). Your Role: Student Support: Provide targeted support to identified K-8th-grade students. Caseload Management: Oversee a 30-student caseload in collaboration with another SSW in the building. Crisis Intervention: Implement strategies to ensure student well-being and success. Advocacy: Advocate for the holistic welfare of students (social, emotional, academic). Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, families, and other related service staff to meet student needs. Service Delivery: Provide push-in and pull-out services as required. IEP Effectiveness: Develop and track interventions to gauge IEP effectiveness. Additional Duties: Take on other responsibilities as assigned. Why Join Us?
