The desk is opening a position for a Junior Power Trader to further our expertise in both short-term and real-time decision making throughout North America’s many ISOs. The candidate will be surrounded by a team of data scientists, engineers, and fundamental traders. As a Power Trader you will: Analyze short-term data to look for profitable trading strategies through Northeast and Midwest markets Build efficient strategies trading the following markets: IESO, MISO, PJM, NYISO and ISO-NE Make decisions quickly and mitigate risk through accurate execution Apply market and internal Risk & Compliance structure Trade short term cash market to optimize portfolio Work on a varying shift schedule as part of the real-time desk Profiles we are looking for: You have an entrepreneurial mindset and strong analytical capabilities You have the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced and changing environment You have experience in the power trading industry You understand the market fundamentals and power asset modeling You have strong statistical and quantitative analysis abilities You have strong programming skills in SQL, VBA and Python and you are ready to demonstrate this during a technical test What we offer: The opportunity to be part of an entrepreneurial culture that encourages initiative.
