Our solutions are built from the ground up to support critical and user objectives. The Junior PHP Developer's main responsibility is to assist development of our custom internal software applications. This position is part of a cross-functional team responsible for developing new features and performing bug fixes for employees using our PHP based business system applications. Other duties might include bug testing our customer applications for new releases and other technical tasks as knowledgebase is proven. Here's what you will be doing: Write code in various computer languages to build and edit application architecture. Testing programs for errors and fixing faulty code. Debugging programs to fix errors. Work with our development team on application design. Review client-side and server-side architecture. Help build front end applications utilizing existing APIs. Assist with final code review QA / Testing Create security and data protection settings. Train departments of new features and releases. Work with departments on features and fixes. Write technical documentation. What you need to succeed in this role: Familiarity with Full Stack Developer or similar role Familiarity with PHP, JavaScript, CSS, Apache, MySQL Working knowledge of how APIs work Preferred but not required knowledge of Git, PHP frameworks, Docker, general networking Self-motivated; requiring minimal management and willingness to learn This role requires the ability to work in our Sussex office Monday - Friday from 8am-5pm.
