This position involves working closely with a collaborative team, drafting and prosecuting patent applications, and contributing to the firm's client-focused approach. The role offers the opportunity for substantial professional development and engagement in an environment that values innovation and teamwork.Duties:Draft and prosecute patent applications effectively.Collaborate with clients and team members on intellectual property matters.Participate in client meetings and discussions, ensuring strategic legal advice.Conduct research and analysis of technical and legal literature.Prepare legal documentation and handle all phases of patent prosecution.Maintain updated knowledge of patent laws and changes in the field.Support partners and senior attorneys on various IP projects.Requirements:1-3 years of experience in patent application drafting and prosecution.Strong understanding of intellectual property law and relevant procedures.Admission to a State Bar.Admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).Excellent academic credentials.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Education:A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).Certifications:State Bar admission.USPTO admission.Skills:Excellent research and drafting skills.Strong attention to detail and precision.Ability to work in a collaborative, client-oriented environment.Capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.Demonstrated leadership potential and self-motivation.Job Location:Indianapolis, INBenefits:Comprehensive health, life, accident, and disability insurance.Participation in a 401(k) retirement plan.Opportunities for professional growth and advancement.Access to discretionary and productivity-based bonuses.Flexible in-office schedule averaging 2-3 days per week.
