This position is ideal for individuals with a strong technical background and a desire to work collaboratively in a dynamic legal environment.Duties:Draft and prosecute patent applications.Conduct comprehensive patent research and analysis.Collaborate with clients to understand their innovations and technology.Provide strategic advice regarding patent portfolio management.Ensure compliance with U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) procedures and requirements.Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams within the firm to support broader IP strategies.Assist with patent litigation and disputes as needed.Requirements:1-3 years of experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications.Admission to the State Bar.Admission to practice before the USPTO.Excellent academic record.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a client-focused, team-oriented environment.Education:Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field preferred.Certifications:Active State Bar membership.USPTO registration.Skills:Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.Excellent client communication and relationship-building skills.Proficiency in technical terminology and concepts related to engineering or computer science.Job Location:Washington, DCBenefits:Comprehensive health, life, accident, and disability insurance.401(k) retirement plan.Opportunities for productivity and discretionary bonuses.Professional development support.Flexible work policy with 2-3 days of office presence expected.
