Position summary MX is seeking an experienced, eager, talented transaction-focused attorney with 1+ years industry background to join the legal team at MX. You’ll be bringing your passion and enthusiasm to a company on the cutting edge of banking technology, assisting the team in getting deals in place with other fintechs and financial institutions. We are seeking someone who is confident, professional, well-spoken, proactive in his/her approach, has the expertise to work collaboratively, and also be capable of working autonomously. In addition to your primary focus of the sale contract negotiation process, assignments will vary and may include: researching and disseminating details related to internal reporting metrics, contract compliance obligations, regulatory guidance impacting the financial industry, and preparing for and attending client meetings. You’ll get to… Manage the contract negotiation process including the review and negotiation of customer and vendor contracts Perform contract compliance reviews Maintain internal memos on contract related legal research and company approved legal thresholds Publish a monthly memo and report on contract value and risk analysis Assist in developing company contracting policies, approval limits, and company positions Build and maintain business relationships with clients and partners Assist in developing negotiation strategies and aiding the sales team in negotiating complex and large sales contracts Provide timely feedback to sales executives and sales leadership related to contracting status updates and negotiation barriers Collaborate with Sales Excellence to design and implement programs for rep on-boarding, training, process design and improvement Support and drive the Account Executives in closing deals.
