This position is ideal for newly barred attorneys who are eager to grow their legal career in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The Junior Associate will work closely with a Senior Associate and be supported by a team of paralegals and staff. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to gain hands-on experience in workers' compensation law.Location:Burbank, CADuties:Manage a docket of workers' compensation cases, working towards timely resolution.Conduct depositions and handle discovery matters.Negotiate settlements and move cases forward towards resolution.Provide direction and guidance to non-attorney staff, including paralegals.Bring positivity and leadership to the workplace, setting an example for team members.Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to develop case strategies.Ensure compliance with legal procedures and maintain case files.Requirements:Newly barred attorneys are encouraged to apply.At least one year of experience in workers' compensation law preferred but not required.Comfortable working in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.Experience conducting depositions (preferred).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Must be in good standing with the California State Bar.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the California State Bar in good standing.Skills:Strong written and oral communication skills.Experience or strong interest in workers' compensation law.Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks.Strong legal research and drafting skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Positive attitude and the ability to lead by example.Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.Benefits:Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance.Flexible time off, including unlimited paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays.Paid parental leave.Opportunity for career growth and development in a supportive work environment.
