The IT Operations Specialist is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to employees by setting up and configuring accounts, managing hardware and software resources, and responding to user requests. This role involves a mix of technical troubleshooting, account management, and software subscription management. The ideal candidate is a user-focused, detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities: User Support and Troubleshooting: Serve as the primary point of contact for end-user IT support requests. Provide timely and effective troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues. Document support requests, solutions, and follow-up actions. Account and Access Management: Configure and manage user accounts and permissions across various systems. Set up accounts for new hires and ensure appropriate access levels are maintained. Assist in password resets, multi-factor authentication, and access-related troubleshooting. Hardware Setup and Maintenance: Prepare, set up, and deploy computers, monitors, and other peripherals for new employees. Manage the physical inventory of IT hardware, ensuring proper maintenance and upgrades. Troubleshoot hardware issues and coordinate repairs or replacements when necessary. Software and Subscription Management: Manage software licenses and subscriptions, ensuring they are up to date and compliant. Install, update, and configure software as needed, based on company requirements. Maintain records of software assets, license keys, and subscription renewals. Documentation and Reporting: Document common support issues and solutions to streamline future troubleshooting. Maintain accurate records of equipment, configurations, and support requests. Generate reports on support metrics and software usage for management review. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance the efficiency of IT support. Stay updated on the latest software, hardware, and IT support tools. Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Proven experience in an IT Helpdesk or technical support role. Proficiency with Windows, MacOS, and common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace). Familiarity with user account management and access control. Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
