Job overview WISER, a federal contractor and civil engineering firm, is searching for an IT Support Specialist to join our growing team. This position will play an integral role in stabilizing the IT support foundation for the growth plan in place. You must possess a professional demeanor centered by positive and can-do attitude that will align well with our organization's fast-paced culture. If you thrive on frequently learning new skills by wearing more than 1 IT hats, this could be a great opportunity for you. This position will report directly to our Director of IT. You will work with multiple teammates and employees in our offices. Responsibilities: Serve as the 1st point of contact for technical support Record events, issues and their resolutions in logging system Follow-up and update status through the full life cycle of the incident Identify and suggest possible improvements on process & procedures Support Office 365 email and Active Directory user management Perform hardware / software installations and upgrades Perform project based tasks & other IT related duties as assigned & required Qualifications: MUST be a U.S. Citizen Must be willing to obtain a government security clearance Superior communication and customer service skills Willingness & be open to learn new skills Expertise to quickly assess and escalate the issue to the next level or to a different team when needed Knowledge and background with Microsoft Windows Eco system including, but not limited to, operating systems ( Desktop & Server ) , Active Directory, DNS and DHCP O365 ( Email & Office Suites ) administration background Be flexible with working hours. Willingness to work after hours, including weekends, if needed. A proven understanding of Desktop & Laptop computer hardware anatomy AD user creation & management. AD-Connect background is a plus At least 1yr of professional IT background Must be able to lift max of 50 pound off the floor Bachelor's Degree or equivalent background & Skills Desired Skills: A good understanding of OR willingness to acquire further skills on: Operations of major cloud services Database Administration Firewall, Routers & Switch ( L3 ) Good practice & efficient operations of general IT Infrastructure What you get from us: A dynamic, team-oriented office environment A comfortable, relaxed casual dress code Rewards, recognition, company events, and other fun stuff Job Posted by ApplicantPro
