This role involves integrating GIS technology with IT systems toenhance spatial data accuracy and accessibility. The analyst will work closely with engineering and planningteams to provide technical support, create detailed maps and reports, and ensure that GIS data aligns withWSDOT's strategic goals.ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES● Meet with staff to identify and analyze user requirements for GIS-based LRS data and applications● Elicit and document business requirements● Create map-centered interfaces● Configuring web services● Create customized tools and menus● Identify and design system interface requirements● Write programs using GIS development tools1 | Page● Develop, maintain, and update GIS databases and spatial data layers.● Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define GIS requirements and project objectives.● Perform spatial analysis and produce maps, reports, and visualizations to support transportation projects.● Manage GIS software and tools, ensuring their effective use and integration with other IT systems.● Troubleshoot and resolve GIS-related technical issues.● Ensure GIS data accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations.QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIRED SKILLS:● Minimum 8 years of experience in:o GIS analysiso Process mappingo Workflow modelingo Data modelingo Business rules modelingo Requirements managemento Implementing ESRI-based GIS technologies.EDUCATION● Bachelor’s degree in GIS, surveying, engineering, or similar discipline.OTHER● Req Type: Nationwide● Salary: Determined based on experience and education● Location: RemoteBENEFITS2 | PageWe offer a competitive benefits package for full-time employees to include paid holidays, paid time off, medicaland dental.VECRA, Inc. is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
