The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of patent litigation experience and a strong academic background, ready to take on significant responsibilities, including client contact and various IP-related tasks.LocationNew York, NYDutiesLitigate cases involving patents, trade secrets, false advertising, and unfair competition in federal courts and before the USITC.Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, appellate briefs, and correspondence with counsel.Collaborate with experts in preparing reports.Manage discovery processes, including document production, written discovery, and depositions.Prepare for and assist with jury and bench trials and administrative hearings.Argue motions, trials, and appellate arguments in state and federal courts, including proceedings before the PTAB and ITC.Develop dispute settlement strategies, including mediation.Conduct legal research and writing.Participate in collaborative efforts with other practice areas to provide comprehensive legal advice.Requirements4-6 years of litigation experience required.Strong academic credentials.Experience in patent and ITC litigation preferred.Must be licensed to practice law in the state of hire and in good standing.EducationJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.CertificationsPatent Bar preferred.Background in science or engineering is advantageous.SkillsExceptional written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset.BenefitsCompetitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), short-term/long-term disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, and paid time off.Opportunities for mentorship and professional development within a collaborative team.
