Intern GIS Work Location : Butte, MT Pay range : $20.00 per hour Employment Status: Temporary (May - August full-time, 40 hours per week) (September - December part-time, 20 hours per week) External candidates apply at northwesternenergy.com Internal candidates apply through iConnect About this position: The GIS Intern will be given the opportunity to collaborate with Gas Transmission and Storage's engineering group, Business Technology and other groups within NorthWestern Energy. This position includes information capturing, development of tools, and the development of applications About this job: Assist with the development of tools and applications Learn processes and procedures for Gas Transmission Engineering, Drafting and GIS Update and maintain 811 buffers for the 811 Call Before You Dig system to ensure accuracy Enter, organize, and manage inspection reports and hydrotests As-Built completions for new pipelines and pipeline reroutes Support updates to the Map Viewer Utilize Field Maps applications Assist with development of applications and tools within the ESRI environment and Field Maps Assist with database structure, integrity, and schema.
