The attorney will handle multiple high-level legal matters related to life sciences, from inception to resolution, with a focus on advancing intellectual property litigation. This role requires a candidate with strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a strategic mindset. Expertise in areas such as immunology, genetics, molecular biology, or pharmaceuticals is highly preferred. This position offers a competitive salary and the opportunity for professional growth.Duties:Manage multiple legal matters in various stages of progression, focusing on intellectual property lawProvide strategic legal advice and high-quality legal work for clientsCommunicate effectively with internal teams and clients, both orally and in writingActively participate in the development of client matters, including decision-making and strategyDelegate tasks to support staff and junior associates, ensuring client satisfactionMaintain high ethical standards and comply with all professional responsibilitiesAssist in business development efforts through both group and individual initiativesRequirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law schoolMinimum of 6 years of experience as a licensed attorney at a law firm or clerkingExperience handling intellectual property matters, particularly in the life sciences fieldStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamLicensed to practice law in good standing in one or more jurisdictionsRegistered to practice before the USPTOEducation:Juris Doctor (required)Ph.D. or Master’s degree in a Life Sciences discipline (highly preferred)Expertise in immunology, genetics, molecular biology, and/or pharmaceuticals (preferred)Certifications:Licensed attorney in good standing in one or more U.S. jurisdictionsRegistered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)Skills:Strong decision-making and leadership abilitiesExcellent legal writing and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple high-level matters simultaneouslyFamiliarity with intellectual property litigation in the life sciences sectorAbility to mentor junior associates and collaborate with support staffAdaptable and willing to learn new skills and legal technologies Formed over a century ago, this firm has grown tremendously with offices throughout the country.
