Responsibilities: • Develop risk management strategies for each customer to ensure his or her policy needs are continuously met• Remain updated about insurance industry changes that may affect customers in your portfolio• Maintain a portfolio of existing customers and pursue insurance sales with new clients by using sales strategies that may include cold calling and networking• Update reports, records, bookkeeping systems, and other organizational tools to accurately report progress toward monthly insurance sales goals• Conduct meetings with new and potential clients and carefully listen to their individual circumstances in order to present the best insurance policies to meet their needs• Willingness to create lasting relationships within your local community Qualifications: • Fundamental computer skills such as experience with Microsoft Office• Experience using accounting or sales-related software is beneficial• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills required; customer service experience is a plus• Ability to learn and understand state and federal regulations that affect insurance sales, insurance clients, and the insurance industry as a whole• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma mandatory• Must be a good communicator and be able to explain complex insurance programs to the customer Compensation: $66,000 at plan commission About Company: On May 1, 1947, a group of Idaho farmers and ranchers founded an insurance company.
