This full-time, hybrid position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled attorney with 3+ years of experience in insurance defense matters to work on a wide range of cases for major insurance companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, construction liability, and Labor Law cases, as well as experience in writing motions, conducting depositions, and managing client communications.DutiesHandle a variety of insurance defense claims, including motor vehicle accidents, Labor Law, premises liability, and construction liability mattersReport to multiple insurance companies by their specific guidelinesConduct depositions and assist in gathering evidence for defense casesWrite and argue motions in courtDraft pleadings and other legal documentsCollaborate with colleagues on case strategy, liability analysis, and valuation discussionsMaintain client relationships and provide regular updates on case progressAttend in-person meetings or hearings as required by case demandsRequirements3+ years of experience in insurance defense litigationStrong writing skills and experience drafting legal documentsAbility to conduct depositions and argue motionsFamiliarity with insurance defense practices and litigationAbility to work autonomously while maintaining strong teamwork and collaborationExperience reporting to insurance companies according to their specific guidelinesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailNo trial or appellate experience is requiredEducationJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolCertificationsActive state bar licenseSkillsExcellent legal research and writing skillsStrong oral communication and negotiation skillsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple casesKnowledge of insurance defense litigation proceduresAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamComfortable with a flexible, hybrid work scheduleBenefitsCompetitive compensation packagePaid time off (PTO)Health insurance401(k) with matching contributionsAnnual merit-based bonuses
