Nationally acclaimed full-service Am Law 200 business law firm is seeking an Insurance Coverage & Recovery Associate to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing coverage and recovery group that includes a large sports insurance component (representing/counseling athletes, teams, and leagues). Billable hour goals and performance metrics are individualized based on the practice group, professional goals, experience, and more. This position is onsite at the firm's Los Angeles, California office. Ideal candidates must be California barred, will have experience in dealing with coverage and recovery issues arising out of general liability policies, and must also have a policyholder/plaintiff mindset. Qualifications: Must have a California Bar license in good standing Must have 3-5 years of experience in dealing with coverage and recovery issues arising out of general liability policies, Directors & Officers, and Errors & Omissions, as well as others; sports insurance experience is a plus Must have a policyholder/plaintiff mindset Must have excellent writing skills and be knowledgeable in discovery and motion practice Must have strong legal research skills Must be detail-oriented Must be motivated to learn and grow professionally Benefits: Heavily subsidized health insurance premiums with some plans including firm paid HSA contributions Free dental insurance for employees and inexpensive options for dependents Free vision insurance for employees and inexpensive options for dependents Tax advantaged account options like Flexible Spending Accounts and Dependent Care Accounts Life Insurance, paid by the Firm Long-Term Disability Insurance, paid by the Firm Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Traditional and Roth 401(k) options from day one.
