This role is ideal for a proactive, skilled attorney with substantial experience in handling insurance coverage disputes within the commercial insurance sector. This attorney will be expected to independently manage complex litigation matters and provide strategic counsel to clients across various insurance coverage issues.DutiesConduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support insurance coverage litigation.Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents, ensuring accuracy and precision.Represent clients in legal proceedings, including court appearances, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.Manage and prioritize a diverse caseload effectively and efficiently.Collaborate with partners on intricate litigation matters and contribute to strategy discussions and case planning.Maintain regular and clear communication with clients, opposing counsel, judges, and other involved parties throughout the litigation process.Requirements5+ years of relevant experience in insurance coverage disputes within the commercial sector.Demonstrated experience handling complex commercial litigation, including factual investigations, discovery, and depositions.Proficiency in client communication, especially in insurance coverage evaluations, coverage positions, and reservations of rights.Strong organizational skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple cases and deadlines.Capability to develop and execute legal strategies aligned with client goals.EducationJuris Doctorate from an accredited law school with an excellent academic record.CertificationsActive admission to the DC State Bar.SkillsStrong written and verbal communication abilities.Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.Ability to work autonomously and productively with minimal supervision.Exceptional judgment and a high level of professionalism.Capacity to effectively develop and implement strategic legal approaches.Job LocationWashington, DC
