Infusion Nurse Manager

Centennial, CO

Rate: $100,000 per year Duties and Responsibilities: The focus of this position is on our infusion services and primarily in the fast-growing field of biologic therapies. The Nursing Manager directs, plans, and coordinates the service activities and staffing performance of professional nursing and auxiliary nursing personnel in rendering quality patient care. This is a highly professional role and will provide the right candidate with many opportunities to participate in the decision-making process and continued professional growth. Selects, trains, develops, and motivates a highly skilled professional and allied staff. Oversees compliance to applicable regulations necessary to maintain a Colorado Home Health License. Assures that departmental staff complete orientation, maintain clinical competence, participate in continuing education, receive counseling, and are evaluated in a timely manner. Oversees the receipt, evaluation, acceptance, and execution of the initial patient intake process to assure that patient verification, assessment, teaching, and the ongoing scheduling of nursing services occur in a timely and appropriate manner. Assures that all patient-related documentation and clinical and departmental reports are accurately completed, submitted, and/or filed in a timely manner, according to internal and external regulatory requirements and in support of the billing process. Participates in planning, decision-making, and implementation of all service center activities that affect clinical nursing services and the performance of the multidisciplinary team. Assists in the management of a department budget using a modified primary nursing model and assures that other department functions proceed without interruption. Secures and maintains all applicable internal, professional, local, state, federal and voluntary licenses, certifications, accreditations, and employment requirements as required of staff and department. Works closely with our local business leaders and to assess, plan, implement and evaluate clinical and administrative policies, procedures, programs, and systems. Assures own professional growth and clinical competence. Adheres to all policies, procedures, and standards of conduct. Reports to the appropriate management any known or suspected violations of policies, procedures, regulations, or standards of conduct. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a BSN, MSN preferred Current RN Licensure by the CO state board of Nursing, in good standing Minimum 3 years Nursing practice in a related specialty such as specialty infusion, home health, home infusion, oncology, nutrition support, IV therapy or critical care Experience in Pediatric care a plus Clinical expertise in IV therapies with monitoring, skill, and knowledge of all types of IV lines Willing to step in and provide direct patient care when warranted Knows how to build a team with a high degree of pride Instills a sense of ownership when it comes to providing a great patient experience Minimum 2 years management experience, proven ability to manage, train and educate staff on new protocols and existing standard operating procedures Ability to work with all levels of employees in a fast-paced clinical environment and manage multiple complex projects Knowledge of vascular access devices and infusion therapies Knowledge of CO licensed, non-certified, home health agency regulations Ability to directly supervise and manage staff for a licensed home health agency Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with MS Office CRNI certification a plus Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before customers or employees of an organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form.
