This position offers significant opportunities for professional growth and development. The selected candidate will manage a diverse caseload, represent clients in immigration proceedings, and collaborate closely with a supportive and skilled team of attorneys and legal professionals.DutiesProvide strategic immigration solutions and advice to clients.Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.Manage a caseload of immigration cases, ensuring timely and effective handling.Conduct intake interviews with detained individuals at immigration detention centers.Prepare various immigration applications, including removal defense, family-based petitions, and humanitarian requests.Review and revise immigration applications and petitions as needed.Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations on immigration law changes and initiatives.Conduct consultations with prospective clients to assess their immigration needs and formulate effective strategies.Prepare clients and witnesses for court appearances and USCIS interviews.Provide legal analysis and identify potential benefits or outcomes for clients.Draft and file legal briefs for a range of immigration cases.Requirements1-4 years of experience in immigration law.Strong case management skills and the ability to handle a diverse workload.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Proven track record of advancing legal cases and achieving favorable outcomes.Experience with family-based petitions, humanitarian relief, EOIR proceedings, detained cases, citizenship applications, and other USCIS matters.Familiarity with case management software is preferred.EducationJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.CertificationsAdmission to the State Bar of California.SkillsStrong understanding of immigration law and procedures.Ability to think critically and develop strategic solutions.Excellent oral and written communication skills.High level of attention to detail and organization.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines effectively.Proficient in case management software (preferred).Job LocationSacramento, CA.BenefitsComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) retirement plan with company match.Paid time off and paid holidays.Catered lunches and other office perks.Complimentary parking.Opportunities for professional growth and career development.
