STAND 8 provides end to end IT solutions to enterprise partners across the United States and with offices in LA, Atlanta, New York, Raleigh, and more We seeking a Hyperion Planning Consultant. The successful candidate will assist business clients, both international and domestic, with problem analysis, resolution, and general support for a variety of Hyperion Planning applications. The role requires working across different areas of Information Systems on enhancements and support for diverse systems. This individual will ensure service levels are met in a dynamic environment by providing evaluations and solutions, managing activities to restore functionality, and fielding questions or requests for advice.Responsibilities * Maintain and assist in the development of existing on-prem Hyperion Essbase/Planning applications. * Write and troubleshoot various Calculation Scripts. * Enhance and support web-based data entry forms within the Hyperion Planning application. * Perform Essbase outline changes and create reports as needed. * Provide problem resolution, incident closure, and reporting. * Utilize query tools to analyze and reconcile data, and generate ad hoc reports. * Participate in rotational on-call responsibilities to support a global service level agreement. Qualifications * 3+ years of hands-on experience with Hyperion Essbase (Version 11.2 or higher) and Hyperion Planning (Version 11.2 or higher). * 5+ years of working experience with Forecasting and Fiscal Budget systems. * Master proficiency with Hyperion Excel Smart View and its data query capabilities. * Experience writing system scripts using EssCMD, and ideally MaxL. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent technical documentation skills. * Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. * Proficient production support troubleshooting skills. * Ability to write technical specifications, program, test, and manage modifications through quality assurance and change control processes. * A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Preferred Skills * SQL scripting and VB are a plus. * Ability to translate business problems into functional solutions. * Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences. * Collaborative team player and independent performer. * Proven experience working with internal and external clients. * Strong presentation and facilitation skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Additional DetailsThe base range for this contract position is $40 - $50/per hour, depending on experience.Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
