OVERVIEW The HR Team at RACSB is a small but mighty team! The agency continues to grow and we are looking for someone to dig into and take us to the next level in our recruitment and new hire function. If you enjoy building relationships, planning for the future while accomplishing the to-do list of today, and working in a close-knit environment, this might be an opportunity to check out! While this role will have a focus on recruitment, you will grow your HR generalist skills as one does on a small HR team. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Completes the new hire process from job offer through new employee orientation. Collaborates with hiring managers to understand the needs and roles to be filled. Identifies and implements the most effective methods for recruiting and attracting candidates. Organizes and attends job fairs, campus events, and other recruitment opportunities. Maintains and ensures compliance with applicable equal employment opportunity (EEO) and related employment laws and regulations. Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations. Assists the Human Resources Director with special projects, studies and reports. Serves as backup to other HR Team members. Performs other related duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Thorough knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of human resources management related to staff recruitment and selection; thorough knowledge of federal and state employment laws and the current legal issues including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, Americans with Disabilities Act, Veterans Employment Opportunity Act, etc.; considerable knowledge of modern office practices and procedures; considerable knowledge of agency activities and of the terminology involved; considerable knowledge of employee recruitment resources; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, make presentations and conduct training; ability to conduct effective interviews, observe, and assess obtained information; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff of the agency and other agencies and organizations; ability to function calmly in stressful situations; ability to operate a vehicle; ability to collect, compile and evaluate electronically sourced or other sourced statistical and financial data and prepare complex recommendations, proposals, reports, etc. TYPICAL EDUCATION, TRAINING AND WORK EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree with experience in human resources to include experience in recruitment. LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATIONS Valid VA Driver's License
