NC Pediatric Dentistry aims to provide excellent dental treatment by going beyond the basics to ensure visits are safe, relaxed, informative, and fun for children! Due to growth, we are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Human Resources Manager in the University Charlotte, NC area. Job overview: The HR Manager is directly responsible for leading the human resources (HR) team, overseeing all HR functions, and providing hands on and consultative support for all HR activities. S/he will own the following key human resource areas including but not limited to: employee relations, policy administration, interpretation and counsel, compliance, HR law, hiring and employee selection, employee engagement, training and development coordination, unemployment hearings, employee reviews, and compensation. This individual will also provide administrative support for all human resources functions including but not limited to: total rewards benefits, HRIS updates, report writing, performance management, training, and employee relations. HR Daily Functions - 40% Employee support and benefits administration to include – std/life insurance, health insurance, pension plans, vacation, FMLA leave and sick leave. Provide support for human resources initiatives such as recruitment, benefits, training and employee relations. Recruiting and onboarding during high volume seasons and for key positions. Maintain HRIS data and create, analyze and provide HRIS report data as needed. Complete employment verifications. Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws. Unemployment hearings. Complete and submit any/all reports requested by the department of labor. Conduct department and companywide audits with the HR Generalist as needed. Reconcile invoices from the Accounting team by reviewing files and HRIS reports. Provide day-to-day direction, coaching, and mentorship to HR Generalist. Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and company policies. Company Wide Initiatives - 35% Leading, coordinating, and completing projects surrounding the HR centers of excellence: Performance Management, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning and Development, Employee Engagement, HR Strategy Systems, HR Risk Management/Compliance and Total Rewards Compensation. Administration and implementation of LMS (Learning Management System). Proactively review HR software systems, identify and make recommendations and lead implementation of new systems. Support training systems and coordination of ongoing professional development of all management and hourly staff. Create and put in place an internal Leadership development initiative for aspiring and growing managers. Implement and coordinate regular employee performance reviews to promote staff feedback including doctor reviews. Foster development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes positivity and team player development, while also prioritizing patient care quality, accountability, and high performance. Develop, recommend and implement personnel policies and procedures. Review, maintain, and update employee manual (handbook) policies and procedures annually; communicate and distribute updates to all employees. Challenge the status quo, champion new initiatives for employee hiring, training, benefits and engagement and act as a catalyst for change that drives continuous improvement in the organization. Review and structure a competitive benefits package and measure its success. Assess benefit plans yearly and work with CFO/leadership on finalizing plan options. Further develop the comp package; conduct annual salary surveys; analyze compensation; monitor the performance evaluation program and revise as necessary. Identify human resource risks relevant and proactively develop education and processes to mitigate them. Employee and Manager Assistance - 25% Develop strong partnerships with managers and team leaders and provide expert consultation on employee matters. Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues by conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations. Actively coach and support managers and team leaders on opportunity points. Assist managers and team leaders with the administration of progressive discipline and completing the forms when needed. Actively participate and add value to leadership team meetings.
