Job Title: HR GeneralistLocation: Romulus, MI Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday (Some overtime as needed) Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 annuallyJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Generalist to join our dynamic HR team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and benefits administration. This is a full-time position with some overtime required based on business needs.Key Responsibilities * Recruitment & Staffing: * Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and extending offers for hourly and salaried positions. * Collaborate with department managers to understand workforce needs and ensure timely hiring. * Assist in the onboarding process, ensuring new hires are effectively integrated into the company culture. * Employee Relations: * Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, policies, and procedures. * Assist in resolving employee conflicts, ensuring fair treatment, and maintaining a positive workplace environment. * Conduct investigations related to workplace complaints or concerns, including disciplinary actions. * Compliance & Policy Management: * Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including OSHA, FMLA, and ADA. * Maintain and update company policies and procedures in accordance with changing regulations. * Assist in the preparation of reports related to EEO, OSHA, and other compliance-related matters. * Performance Management: * Support managers with employee performance evaluations, coaching, and development plans. * Help implement performance improvement plans (PIPs) when necessary. * Assist with tracking attendance and managing employee time-off requests, ensuring adherence to company policies. * Compensation & Benefits Administration: * Assist with administering the company's benefits program, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits. * Coordinate open enrollment periods and provide employees with guidance on available benefits options. * Provide payroll support by verifying timekeeping and resolving payroll discrepancies as needed. * Training & Development: * Assist in coordinating training and development programs for employees, ensuring continuous skill-building. * Identify opportunities for employee development and work with leadership to support growth initiatives. * Other HR Functions: * Assist with various HR projects and initiatives, such as employee engagement activities, wellness programs, and workforce planning. * Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience). * Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an HR Generalist role, preferably in a manufacturing environment. * Knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, OSHA, and EEO). * Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels. * Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. * Proficiency in HRIS, Microsoft Office Suite, and other HR software tools. * Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.Additional Requirements * Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed to meet business demands. * Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is a plus.Why Join Us? * Competitive salary and benefits package. * Opportunity for professional growth and development within a supportive and collaborative work environment. * A chance to make a direct impact on company culture and employee engagement.If you are a detail-oriented and adaptable HR professional with a passion for supporting employees in a manufacturing setting, we would love to hear from you.
