Manhattan and Brooklyn based family of four is looking for an energetic, experienced, flexible and hands-on housekeeper. The individual will work on a variety of tasks related to the daily life of the busy husband-and-wife team and their two young children. The individual will provide high-level support in cleaning and coordinating the smooth operation of two main households, primarily in Manhattan and Brooklyn, and on occasion in Tannersville, NY. This position requires sensitivity to family routines, perception, attention to detail, and rigorous follow through in maintaining a clean and well -organized household. Candidate must be easy -going, organized, perceptive, independent, able to communicate clearly, follow directions and take initiative when appropriate. Responsibilities: Top quality cleaning Maintaining tidy and orderly storage areas (closets, cupboards, shelves, etc.) Laundry; including washing and ironing clothes and sheets, attention to organizing linen closet by sheet size Creating and maintaining inventories for pantry, fridge, freezer, cleaning supplies of all types Management of wardrobes Unpacking from travel, especially to and from second home Occasional food shopping and meal prep Oversight of general maintenance of the residence(s), point out necessary repairs / purchases Requirements: English, French or German must be the first language 5+ years of similar experience with one household Excellent, verifiable references Schedule: Monday – Friday (UWS) 2 days a week 12pm – 8pm, 3 days a week 4:00pm – 8:00pm. Saturday or Sunday in Brooklyn or Tannersville (4 – 6 hours) Salary: $45 per hour Powered by JazzHR
