Position Summary: The Host/Hostess at Tenney is responsible for creating an exceptional guest experience by warmly welcoming guests, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating arrangements. As the first point of contact for guests, you will set the tone for a friendly, relaxed dining experience in a fast-paced mountain environment. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask during busy periods. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Welcome and greet guests warmly as they enter the restaurant, creating a positive first impression. Efficiently manage seating arrangements based on reservations, walk-ins, and guest preferences to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction. Use reservation systems to manage and confirm bookings, ensuring timely and organized seating. Accurately estimate wait times for guests and keep them updated on table availability during peak hours. Help guests with coats, bags, or ski equipment if necessary, ensuring their belongings are stored safely. Work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth restaurant operations and seamless guest service. Keep the host station and entrance area clean and organized, including monitoring the cleanliness of the lobby and guest restrooms. Answer guest questions regarding the ski resort, including restaurant specials, lift hours, and other available amenities. Adhere to all health and safety regulations Address guest concerns or complaints efficiently, escalating issues to management when necessary.
