Description:
A company is looking for a Certified Medical Coder with experience in Hospitalist and Toxicology. Key Responsibilities Analyze medical records and accurately code diagnostic and procedural information Abstract clinical diagnoses and procedure codes into electronic medical records Ensure compliance with coding rules and regulations and provide quality assurance for medical records Required Qualifications, Training, and Education High school diploma/GED or equivalent specialized training in medical record keeping Active certification such as CPC, CCS, CCS-P, CCA, CPC-A, RHIA, or RHIT At least two years of experience in Hospitalist and Toxicology coding Knowledge of ICD and CPT coding principles Ability to work effectively in a remote setting using coding software and abstracting systems
