We offer homes and services for people in Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Care centers in the Midway area of St. Paul. We complement our homes with a home care service, foundation, a management company and a robust campus life program that provides a fitness center, pool, theater, 1st class dining room, pub and special events. Job Summary: This position is responsible for providing non clinical related services including housekeeping, laundry, basic meal preparation, errands and other non-clinical duties as requested by the client. Essential Functions: Observe client and report changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, loss of appetite, weight, etc. Prepare meals as directed, following special meal plans if instructed. (May include pork products) Dust, vacuum, mop and other cleaning chores as scheduled and assigned Lead client activities as scheduled and assigned, including 1:1 activities Consistently follow standard principles of sanitation and universal precautions to preserve food quality and prevent the transmission of food borne illness Use appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment to clean floors, furniture, bathrooms, and other areas as needed Assist resident as needed to wash, mend, iron, fold and sort resident's personal laundry Attend in-service training as assigned Other duties as assigned Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee frequently is required to stand, bend and walk. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds, sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk or hear and taste and smell. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: part-time Minimum Qualifications: Must be able to prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently. Must be flexible and adaptable to changing situations. Must be compassionate and work with tact and ethical awareness. Must work as a team member with other personnel, supervisor and RN.
