Hiring Medical Assistants to work at both facilities Main Jail Downtown Sac. & RCCC -Juvenile Hall Southern Elk Grove Overview: Work in a detention/correctional facility, performs a wide variety of MA duties, including hands-on care, and assisting them in follow-up care, or duties as assigned. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as an MA 4 years preferred Experience in treatment care with some of the following: addiction/detox, psych, infectious disease, wound care Knowledge of chronic conditions such as diabetes and asthma are beneficial Minimum Requirements: Possess current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association Provider or American Red Cross (with AED) Work experience in Correctional/Detention setting is preferred Candidates must have good to excellent computer knowledge and skills utilizing an electronic medical record system Reliability and positivity is greatly appreciated! Locations: Main Jail - Downtown Sac RCCC - Southern Elk Grove Shifts: AM- 7:00am-3:30pm Swing: 2:30pm-11pm Possibly some weekends All candidates will train on AM Shift on weekdays first.
