Help Desk Technician Full Time Position: (M-F) On-Call Weekend Rotation Bachman’s is committed to creating a caring environment while inspiring a passion for bringing beauty to life. Bachman’s information technology department has an opening for a help desk technician who is skilled in trouble shooting, automated systems, hands on support, and system backup and recovery support. POSITION DUTIES: Perform technical hands-on support of a large fleet of personal computers, point-of-sale registers, and other computing hardware for remote and on-site users. Respond to and resolve or escalate incoming Help Desk requests in a timely and courteous manner. Provide system backup and recovery support and participate in on-call rotation for after-hours requests. Provide technical support for 250+ PC’s (hardware and software) and 85+ POS registers. Provide technical support for printers and other peripherals. Support automated System Backup applications. Provide analysis of diagnostic utilities to aid in basic troubleshooting of PC problems. Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software/hardware, configuring systems and applications. Provide On Call support on a rotational basis. Work with the recycling and disposal of outdated hardware. QUALIFICATIONS: A+ certification and 1-2 years work experience OR Associates Degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems OR equivalent experience. Experience in help desk role supporting Microsoft Office products with high proficiency in using MS Office products and Windows Operating Systems preferred. Knowledge and experience in supporting computer hardware, peripherals, Microsoft applications and Windows 10, 11, and smart devices. Exposure to troubleshooting mobile devices. Hands on experience with installing and troubleshooting PC software and hardware issues. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
