Direct Counsel has partnered with an exceptional AmLaw 200 law firm to locate a highly skilled Associate to join their Healthcare team in the Los Angeles, CA office. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of civil litigation experience and a familiarity with medical malpractice or elder abuse law. All candidates must be licensed and in good standing with the California Bar.Responsibilities include: Providing legal counsel and advocacy on behalf of clients Handling all written discovery from service to completion Preparing for and attending trials as needed Communicating professionally with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel Developing and carrying out overall litigation strategy Proficient in all aspects of written discovery and depositions Preparing and arguing motions Handling pre-trial preparation responsibilities Conducting legal research and analysisThe salary range is $140,000-$160,000 annually, based upon a full-time work schedule. Actual compensation will be influenced by various factors, including but not limited to employee qualifications, relevant experience, skill sets, training, internal equity, and market data. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
