Description:
The Downtown/10th Street Family YMCA is seeking a part time organized, self-motivated leader to oversee group exercise programs and class schedules. This part time position starts at $15 per hour. Duties of a Group Exercise Coordinator The coordinator will be responsible for creating monthly group exercise schedules, evaluating classes, keeping records and reports up to date, and handling other related responsibilities to the overall success of the group exercise department. Qualifications of a Group Exercise Coordinator A high school diploma or GED is required along with current, nationally-recognized group exercise certification & CPR, AED and First Aid. A degree in wellness or a related field is desirable, but not required. Candidates must possess strong relationship-building and communication skills. Two years of experience in teaching and/or managing group exercise is required. Experience in Wellness and Personal Training programming is strongly preferred.
