Grounds Maintenance Mowing Crew Leader

Description:
The Grounds Maintenance Crew Leader will have experience managing a crew, managing man-hour goals on each property, and managing crew accountability. Attention to detail, meeting customers’ expectations, and being a hard worker are qualities that are needed for this position. Knowledge of lawn care equipment including zero-turn riders, stand-ons, walk behinds, string trimmers, and backpack blowers is a must. This position requires an acceptable driving record. Trailer experience needed. No reckless driving/careless driving/DUI within the last 3 years. Responsibilities:• Supervise ground crew members and provide guidance for proper techniques of ground maintenance• Plan how to tackle each property for success.• Perform inspections and ensure proper care of grounds and property including landscaping, buildings, and structures• Schedule daily work tasks, delegate responsibilities among crew members, and provide feedback/direction to staff in order to ensure quality work• Ability to know what piece of equipment to use on various areas of each property.• Ensure proper safety protocols are followed and address any equipment or hazard concerns• Communicate with the Spray Department and Management is important to ensure we meet property expectations. Qualifications:• 2 years of experience managing a crew• Working within goals and expectations• Valid driver's license• Ability to communicate with Management• Possess or ability to obtain Department of Transportation health card• Ability to lift 75 lbs.• Operate equipment in sitting/standing position for up to 10 hrs/time• Ability to safely operate truck and landscape trailer. No CDL is required.• Positive attitude and hard-working and able to work safely in a team• Able to work on Saturdays if needed due to rainouts• Ability to work with all levels of employees• 2 years zero turn rider and stand-on experience• 2 years string trimmer experience• Snow removal experience Preferred, but not required Compensation: $22 - $26 hourly About Company: Apex Exterior | Construction | Home Services is a service company headquartered in Savage, Minnesota, encompassing all of your construction, exterior, home services, and landscape needs with over 25 years of industry experience.
