About the job As the Global Culinary Strategy and Development Lead, you will be responsible for the development and management of the culinary programs required to meet the Food Program objectives and outcomes. You are responsible for mapping a clear set of strategies and developing a key set of organizational elements (e.g., integrated menu management systems) that bring the Food at Google’s culinary point of view to life. You will be responsible for fosters an innovation culture by continually introducing new menu ideas and food concepts, quality improvements, and productivity aligned with the Global Food Team’s objectives. You will be responsible for optimizing partnerships both internally and externally, that enhance various aspects of the delivery of all aspects of the food served in our cafes globally. This includes the delivery of culinary training programs, integration of culinary trends into cycle menus and branded concepts. The Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) team creates inspiring spaces and innovative services that bring Google’s culture and values to life. We build and maintain all aspects of what keeps our Googley workspaces operating seamlessly across multiple cities and regions globally. We also manage the industry-leading services that help make Google a great place to work from how we design healthy and collaborative workspaces, create energizing food experiences, provide convenient transportation and fitness options, to delivering inclusive environments where Google and our employees can thrive. Responsibilities Develop and manage global integrated food and beverage menu management and development strategy and structure.Help define a set of aligned strategies around procurement efficiencies, menu development to enhance sustainability goals, teaching kitchens and farm-to-table programming. Work together with the other subject matter experts (e.g., branded concepts, nutrition, sustainability, procurement, marketing) to create new concepts, recipes, and menus. Partner with internal Culinary Directors to define culinary training strategy, format and delivery. Partner with internal Culinary Directors to define culinary training strategy, format and delivery. Lead process to articulate Food Team’s culinary perspective internally and externally; advocate for culinary programming globally that brings diversity to our offerings and creates spaces for all Googlers to showcase and celebrate diversity around culinary programming. Requirements Min requirements:Bachelor's degree in food science, hotel management, a related position or equivalent practical background.10yrs of background in developing cycle menus, concepts and strategies using a menu management system10 years of background in food service with an emphasis on multiple site operations within a regional or global organizationPreferred requirements:Background leading complex operational and strategic initiatives, working closely with global stakeholders at all levels to achieve impact. Background with procurement at scale and background with success production at scale strategies.Expertise to effectively manage and deliver against multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced environment. Expertise to lead global and cross-functional project teams to develop and implement new culinary strategies. Superior verbal and written correspondence abilities with the expertise to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels; background with change management. Strong critical thinking and collaboration skills.
