We are currently looking for a technically strong, creative and passionate geotechnical engineer with 3+ years of experience to join our emerging in: house Geotechnical Consultancy team. Working within a supportive and welcoming team, the role will require you to produce efficient, high: quality geotechnical work for both new build and reuse projects in a wide range of sectors. You will need to be enthusiastic, hard: working, and looking to take on responsibility. The ideal candidate: At least 3+ years experience in geotechnical engineering. A proven understanding of basic soil mechanics and engineering principles. A good understanding of backssing geotechnical risk and the scoping of site investigations. Experience in geotechnical backssment and design. Be able to multi: task and manage different project assignments. Possess strong problem solving and inter: personal skills, working with colleagues and clients in a multi: disciplinary environment. Being commercially aware and having a good grasp of basic project management skills. Confident communicator, able to explain engineering concepts clearly and simply in meetings and on site. Committed to sustainability and reducing embodied carbon through design. Ambition to progress towards chartered status. Qualifications: BEng / MEng in Geotechnical Engineering / Engineering Geology or similar. MSc in Geotechnical Engineering or a related applicable field is desirable but not essential. Key responsibilities: Assisting Senior Associate and Associate Engineers with project related tasks, delivering work to a high standard. Be responsible for reviewing site investigation data, preparing ground models and deriving design parameters. Undertaking of various ground movement backssments to include, but not limited to; foundation interaction, building damage backssments, Thames Water asset backssments, Tunnel (BT / LUL / Crossrail / Royal Mail) backssments.
