Malpractice Insurance CME Package Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance PTO Matching 401K Relocation Assistance Employee Stock Purchase Plan Medical Education Loan Repayment Assistance Job Description: As a Psychiatrist at Reliatus Behavioral Health, you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive psychiatric care to our clients. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, social workers, and other mental health professionals, to provide a holistic approach to mental health treatment. Essential duties include conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments/evaluations and mental status examinations (MSEs) of patients, providing multi-axial diagnoses according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) approved by the American Psychiatric Association; developing and implementing individualized mental health treatment planning for assigned child/adolescent patients; providing competent psychotropic medication treatment and other psychiatric treatments to meet the needs of assigned patients; performing related tasks as required. Your expertise will contribute to improving the well-being of individuals facing a wide range of mental health challenges. We are seeking a full time, employed general or child/adolescent psychiatrist, with an interest in treating dual diagnosis. The DEA-X waiver is required or the ability to obtain it. The setting is in-patient with no tele-psychiatry option available. The position includes an adult and older adolescent case load. The schedule is Monday to Friday with at least 32 hours/week on site work. The duties include: Rounding, admissions, treatment team participation, discharge summaries, medication management, participation in call rotation. Job Responsibilities: Assess and screen patients by conducting psychiatric evaluations, including interviews, medical histories, physical exams, observations, and psychological testing Analyze data and results of assessments to diagnose patients Prescribe and administer medications according to diagnosis Monitor patients to determine efficacy and potential side effects of medications Develop a treatment plan, measure progress against the plan, and make adjustments as needed Provide crisis intervention as needed Complete all necessary clinical documentation in an accurate and timely manner Collaborate with a broader team of physicians, psychologists, and nurses to assess and adjust treatment plans Coordinate and communicate with case managers and other stakeholders about treatment and care Job Qualifications: Current and valid board certification in psychiatry Medical degree from an accredited medical school and completion of an approved psychiatric residency Licensed to practice medicine in Illinois Current DEA registration Excellent knowledge and familiarity with current DSM criteria Familiar with crisis assessment tools and techniques Strong working knowledge of general psychiatric principles and practices Excellent interpersonal and communication skills With over 30-years of experience in recruitment , Reliatus Behavioral Health is a leading provider of medical clinic staffing and recruitment services nationally.
