Job Description: Gate Guard Location: 6 Different Locations (Cotulla, Pleasanton, Three Rivers, Jourdanton, George West, Tilden) Employment Type: W-2 Pay: $11/hr (anything over 36 hours is time and half) Workhours: 6am-7p (3 shifts/weekly at minimum) Company Overview: Position Summary: We are seeking a reliable and vigilant Unarmed Gate Guard to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by monitoring premises and checking vehicles. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and control access at vehicle gates. Report any irregularities. Provide assistance to employees, visitors, and customers in a professional manner. Follow and enforce company policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all personnel. Qualifications: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Basic knowledge of public safety and security procedures. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Daily Activities and Resources: Each guard will have: ConnecTeams app Register and download app to your phone/tablet “Claim” shifts (6am-7pm) assigned to you each week (Monday through Sunday) Clock In at your scheduled gate no later than 6am Clock Out at your scheduled gate no earlier than 7pm Chat (with the group or individually with other supervisors/guards) Examples: “I’m running late”, “I’m not able to make it to work”, “Port-a-John needs servicing”, “Gate needs to be fixed”, etc. Must speak directly with the supervisor on-duty that day Forms (Gate Log Sheet) Must log all vehicles entering and/or exiting through your assigned gate Open and/or Close the gate for all vehicles If your cell service is not working, must use the paper gate log sheet Required Uniform (PPE) Long Pants Safety Vest Hard Hat Safety Glasses Close-Toed Shoes (Boots preferred) Keep gate area free of debris and trash Keep Port-a-Johns free of debris and trash on the inside Canopies are allowed (must be set up/taken down each shift) Cannot be left overnight
