Sales Consultant: La-Z-Boy Home Furnishings & D--cor of Indianapolis is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, and motivated Sales Consultant to join our retail team. Being a Certified Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, cultivating relationships with customers, and developing new sales opportunities. You will be expected to understand customer needs, provide product knowledge and advice, and effectively guide your client to a purchase. You must be an initiative-taker, have excellent communication and people skills, and be able to develop relationships. If you display passion, are enthusiastic about sales, and enjoy working with people, then this is the perfect opportunity for you! Our average retail certified sales consultants earn over $55,000/year with top performers earning over $70,000/year. The best part, we do not cap your commission earning potential! To start, your first two-weeks will be spent at our 82nd Street store in our Education Center & showroom! Your education will provide you with in-depth product knowledge and other processes. Maintain relationships with current and potential customers to ensure satisfaction. Contribute to high impact sales events. Learn from our Interior Designer and support our Free Design Services. Provide product knowledge to customers. Process customer orders, payments, update customer until fully satisfied. Provide a great in-store experience for customers. Job Requirements: Prefer an associate degree in business, or two years of retail sales experience. Business casual dress code Proven history of meeting and exceeding sales goals Ability to effectively prioritize tasks. Excellent communication and people skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong negotiation and critical thinking skills Ability to work in a demanding retail environment. Cultivate a client development mentality Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Follow a consistent schedule that includes weekends, and most holidays - we are closed Easter, Thanksgiving & Christmas!
