OVERALL RESPONSIBITIES Responsible for the overall operation of the Front Office area and in assisting the General Manger in overall hotel operations. This position will respond quickly to guest requests and/or complaints in a friendly manner and ensure that appropriate action is taken to guarantee 100% guest satisfaction. REQUIRMENTS A minimium of 1 to 2 years experience as a Department Manager or Supervisor is required. Experience in working in an extended stay Hilton brand is preferred. A working knowledge of the PEP operarting system is also preferred. CORE WORK ACTIVITIES Leading Front Desk Team Verifies that goals are being translated to the team as they relate to guest satisfaction and productivity. Creates and nurtures an environment that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork, continuous improvement and a passion for providing service. Understands employee and guest satisfaction results and develops game plans for need areas and expands on strengths. Leads by example demonstrating self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm. Assists employees in understanding guests' ever-changing needs and expectations and exceeding them. Takes proactive approaches when dealing with employee concerns. Always extends professionalism and courtesy to employees. Communicates/updates all goals and results with employees. Assists/teaches the team scheduling against guest and hours/occupied room goals. Performs hourly job functions as needed. Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs. Managing and Monitoring Activities that Affect the Guest Experience Provides excellent customer service by being readily available/approachable for all guests. Strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction. Takes proactive approaches when dealing with guest concerns. Always extends professionalism and courtesy to guests. Responds timely to customer service department request. Verifies that all team members meet or exceed all hospitality requirements. Conducting Human Resources Activities Interviews and assists in making hiring decisions. Verifies that orientations for new team members are thorough and completed in a timely fashion. Coach, counsel, and discipline associates as necessary. Conduct associate terminations when needed. Other Responsibilities Ensure timely ordering of supplies for the Front Desk and Administration departments. Oversee ordering, stocking and inventory control for Suite Shop. Assist General Manager in completing daily hotel accounting activities such as cash deposits and completing necessary documents. Code and submit departmental invoices for approval. Other Requirements Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Comply with all Brand quality assurance expectations and standards. Follow all company policies and procedures. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets; protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time. Ensure a professional appearance, a clean uniform, and adherence to other company appearance standards. Additional Information This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Pinnacle Hotel Management. The franchisee controls all aspects of the hotel's employment policies and practices, including the selection and hiring process. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Hilton.
