Practice Area: Franchise Law, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 8 Years, A law firm seeks an experienced Franchise Of Counsel to join its Franchise Distribution practice group. This role involves providing regulatory and transactional support for franchise clients across a diverse range of industries, with flexibility for remote or office-based work in Chicago.DutiesDraft, review, and manage franchise-related agreements, including franchise disclosure documents and compliance filings.Counsel clients on franchise-related issues in mergers, acquisitions, and other complex transactions.Offer advisory support to both U.S. and international clients on regulatory compliance in franchise operations.Represent a variety of clients, including start-up franchisors, private equity firms, and established franchise brands.Work collaboratively with a team of legal professionals to deliver strategic guidance and tailored solutions.RequirementsA minimum of 8 years of experience in franchise transactional and regulatory work.Active State Bar admission in Illinois or eligibility for admission via waiver.Demonstrated expertise in drafting and managing franchise documents and agreements.Strong analytical skills with a focus on providing practical, business-focused advice.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.EducationJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.CertificationsAdmission to the Illinois State Bar or eligibility for admission via waiver.SkillsProficiency in drafting franchise agreements, disclosure documents, and regulatory filings.Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Capacity to handle multiple projects and client interactions effectively.BenefitsComprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) retirement plan with employer matching.Flexible work arrangements, with options for remote work or an office-based role in Chicago.
